The general regulatory council for complementary therapies (GRCCT); meeting of the federal regulatory council. chair: GRCCT senior manager Barry Yanner
GRCCT is the larger of the two national regulatory bodies developed from the work of the Princes’ Foundation in 2007.
Supported by the profession lead bodies GRCCT holds a National Register of approximately 18,000 practitioners in 20 different complementary therapy disciplines as well as providing an independent arbitration and complaints process.
Education entry requirements are implemented under the guidance of the discipline Core Curricula and in conjunction with National Occupational Standards.
Practitioners granted admission to GRCCT are seen to meet General Medical Council guidelines for GP referral and NHS Patient Safety Criteria for work in Cancer, Palliative Care Units and hospices.
